Artisan by Cresent Fine Furniture joins the serenity and simplicity of traditional Asian tyling with the architectural ideals of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the Arts and Crafts school to create a transitional collection of bedroom, dining, and accent pieces that are perfectly suited for modern living.
Crafted of cathedral and quarter-cut walnut veneers in a rich, aged caramel finish, Artisan's influences are apparent in the architectural grillwork featured throughout he collection, as well as the simple, solid lines of the cases, anchored by canted pilasters and gently tapering feet. Custom-designed hardware in a hand-burnished brass finish completes the clean, transitional styling.
The Artisan bedroom is anchored by 3 beds ranging from a gracefully lined panel bed with octagonal posts to a modern sleigh bed with sweeping curves. The dining room features both a traditionally scaled, clipped corner rectangle table and a gathering table that expands from a rectangle to a 60x60â square. Dining case pieces include a granite top sideboard and a serving credenza. Other signature pieces include an étagère/room divider and a sleek media console, which is available in two sizes to accommodate up to a 60â flat panel TV.
Artisan is Cresentâs first creative collaboration with designer Fred Spector of Providence, RI. Fred is a new breed of furniture designer whose recent work includes projects for Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Room & Board and Z Gallerie.
